To change your PHP version, first log into your Hosting Control Panel (DirectAdmin). From there, scroll to the Extra Features section and click the "Select PHP Version" link.
Once the link is clicked, you will see a message indicating that the Select PHP version plugin is loading.
Once the plugin loads, select the PHP version you want to use from the drop down menu.
If you change the current value from the dropdown menu, we recommend clicking the 'Reset to Default' link after choosing a new version of PHP, then clicking the 'Set as current'. Following these steps will apply the version change with the base values for that version of PHP.
Be sure to test your site after changing the PHP version. If your site is not compatible with the new version, it may not load properly. If this happens, repeat the above steps attempting to apply a less recent version of PHP as appropriate. For example, if you attempted to upgrade to 7.4, the next attempt would be 7.3, and then 7.2 until the update is successful. NOTE: In rare cases, it may not be able to update the PHP version of your website beyond where it currently is. If you feel this is in error, please contact us to assist in determining if your site can be upgraded.
